![]() Victoria Victoria had a germ cell tumor in her lower abdomen that had damaged nerves in her left leg. Consequently her left foot has lost proper function. This rare germ cell tumor occurs in only 1 to 2 children in a million each year. Victoria lost her battle with cancer on November 1st, 2009. She fought this horrible disease for almost 3 years in which she made many friends including Hometown Heroes. There will be no funeral for Victoria. Her parents donated her body to Duke Universtity for use in cancer research to help other kids that fight this battle. Her family had a very strong support network along with Hometown Heroes. |
